THE BACK HORN - Mugen no Kouya (english translation)

Manly!

無限の荒野 / An Infinite Wasteland

Music and Lyrics: THE BACK HORN

I’m stepping on and scattering corpses, yet I’ll still kill more
Because now the chains have been released
A peerless blade

At the end of a vast wasteland, what are you thinking of?
Inside my body a dark mass is squirming

A pale-shining meteor creeps into my sky*
Only the pale-shining moon knows where I am

Biting through to the bone and scattering them about, I dream of tomorrow
My soul is going to dry up, even if my blood doesn’t

I’m badly injured, and a cruel rain is falling
I wonder if I’ll die here?
“No, not yet, I can’t die here”

A pale-shining meteor creeps into my sky
Only the pale-shining moon knows where I am

I’m stepping on and scattering corpses, yet I’ll still kill more
Because now the chains have been released
A peerless blade

A pale-shining meteor creeps into my sky
Only the pale-shining moon knows my fate

I live, therefore I live**
I live, therefore I live

Notes:
*Might be “blue-shining”
**This I’m not so sure about.
I googled it, and what came up was “Ware omou, yue ni ware ari,” which is a translation of Descartes’ “I think, therefore I am.” I guess this line is a play on that, because they change “omou” (to think) to “ikiru” (to live).

Kanji:

^*This kanji says “unmei” (命) but I heard “sadame” ()
It doesn’t really matter since they both mean fate/destiny in this case.
